"True growth happens from the inside out."
— Lori A. T. Raper, ceramic artist & creator of the Aspen Pot technique
Born from clay, music, and the Colorado landscape.
MusicalMud Studios is the shared creative life of Lori and Troy Raper — a ceramic artist and a musician, building something together in Grand Junction, Colorado.
Lori's work is rooted in the land around her. Her signature Aspen Pot technique draws from the towering groves and quiet strength of Colorado's trees — each piece thrown by hand, each texture carved with intention. No two are alike, because no two trees are either.
Troy brings the rhythm. As a bassist, conductor, and music educator, he shapes the studio's spirit the way music shapes a room — with presence, with timing, with soul.
Together, they've built a studio where art and music aren't two different things. They're the same thing.
